Becoming involved on Sundays

There are many ways of being part of the ministry at St Alkmund's. Read on to find out more

Reading and Leading Prayers

Many of those attending the 10.00 am and 6.30 pm Sunday Services help lead the worship by reading from the Bible. There is a rota and help is available for those who want to practice in advance or need help with pronunciation of unusual names. New readers are always welcome.

Morning rota: contact the church office

Evening rota – Mrs Marianne Hughes

Preparing and leading the prayers for others is an important part of the 10.00 am Service. Training and help are available and new volunteers are always welcome.

For more information please contact

Mr Roger Duffell.

Bell Ringers

There is a team of enthusiastic ringers who ring every Sunday morning before worship and on special occasions including weddings.

If you are a bellringer and would like to take it up again, please contact Anne and Malcolm Monie on 01948 663069

A lovely way to finish our time of worship on a Sunday morning is to chat over a cup of fairly traded tea or coffee and enjoy a biscuit.

There are teams of people who provide the refreshments and wash up afterwards.

If you feel you would like to join one of these teams and provide a greatly appreciated cup of tea or coffee two or three times a year, please contact Mrs Jane Rylands.
